Who we are
Dr. Farhat Hashime Academy ("the academy", "we", "us") provides live one-to-one online Quran classes for children and adults through https://drfarhathashimeacademy.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Details you give us when you book a free trial or contact us: your name, the learner's age, country, preferred course, teacher preference, preferred class time, WhatsApp number and, on the contact form, your email address and message.
Messages you send us on WhatsApp, including your phone number and anything you choose to share.
Basic usage data collected automatically when you visit the website: pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected through analytics and advertising tools described below.
We do not collect payment card details through this website. We never ask for card details for the free trial.
How we use your information
To reply to your enquiry, arrange your free trial and match you with a suitable teacher.
To schedule, deliver and manage lessons, and to share progress updates with parents or guardians.
To understand how the website is used, improve it, and measure whether our advertising works.
To keep the website secure and prevent spam or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
How your form details reach us
When you press "Send to email" on a form, your details are sent through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, and forwarded to our inbox. When you press "Send on WhatsApp", a prefilled message opens in WhatsApp and is sent only when you press send; it is then handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
Analytics, cookies and advertising
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. Clarity records anonymised interactions such as clicks, scrolling and page views, and may create session replays and heatmaps, with form fields masked. We may also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the results of our advertising and show our ads to people who may be interested. These services may set cookies or similar identifiers and collect information such as your IP address and pages visited.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's privacy mode, or install a tracking-prevention extension. Google offers an opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, Microsoft explains Clarity's data use at clarity.microsoft.com/terms, and you can manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
The site also stores your light or dark theme choice and your selected currency in your browser, and may cache pages for faster repeat visits and offline use. These are not used to identify you.
Children's privacy
Children's details must be provided by a parent or guardian. We collect only what is needed to arrange and run lessons (such as name, age and country), use it for no other purpose, and do not use children's information for advertising profiles.
If you believe a child has given us information without a parent's or guardian's knowledge, contact us and we will delete it.
Who we share information with
Teachers assigned to your learner, who see only what they need to teach.
Service providers that help us run the website and communicate with you: our website host (Cloudflare), Web3Forms (form delivery), Google (analytics), Microsoft (Clarity), Meta (advertising measurement) and WhatsApp. They process information on our behalf or under their own policies.
Authorities, where required by law.
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
International transfers
We teach families around the world and the services above operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled with appropriate care.
How long we keep information
Enquiry and trial details are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and arrange classes. If you do not enrol, we delete them within a reasonable period, normally within 12 months. Details of enrolled learners are kept while they are studying with us and for a reasonable time afterwards for record keeping.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS and we limit access to your details to the people who need them. No online service can be completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information such as card or ID numbers through the forms or WhatsApp.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you or your child, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw consent to marketing messages at any time. To do so, message us on WhatsApp or through the contact form and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
